Tabula Capital was founded in 2020 by David Peacock and John Weiss as an independent quantitative macro credit manager. Having worked together in global credit markets for over 25 years, David and John are considered market leaders in CDS index, options, and tranche trading. They are supported by a dedicated investment team of highly experienced credit professionals.

John Weiss
John is CIO and Co-Founder of Tabula Capital.
Previously, John and David Peacock were Partners and Co-Heads of Corporate Credit at Cheyne Capital, a division which they founded in 2002. Over 19 years they built a multi-award-winning alternatives fund business with assets in excess of USD2.5billion, and are recognised as global leaders in the fields of structured credit, and long/short credit management. Engaging in partnerships with numerous investment banks, they were first-movers in managed synthetic CDOs, balance sheet CLOs and managed single tranches. Their strategies generated an average annualised return of 13.5% over that time.
John began his career in 1992 at J.P. Morgan where he was one of the early pioneers in the credit derivative market with a focus on structured credit trading, before moving to Goldman Sachs to Co-Head the European credit trading business. John graduated from Cambridge University with a First in Mathematics and a Scholarship from Emmanuel College.

David Peacock
David is CEO and Co-Founder of Tabula Capital Limited.

David began his career in 1995 at J.P. Morgan within the investor derivatives group, and created the credit derivative marketing group which he ran until moving to Goldman Sachs in 1999. At Goldman Sachs he was Global Head of the Synthetic Portfolio Business. David graduated from Cambridge University with a First in Natural Sciences and a Scholarship of Downing College.

Danny White
Danny was previously Head of the Credit Quantitative Investment Strategies team at J.P. Morgan in London, having started his career in J.P. Morgan’s award-winning CDS research team in 2010. Danny has a bachelor and master’s degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University and a Scholarship from Jesus College, and was previously a Visiting Lecturer in credit derivatives at Imperial College London.

Teresa Durso
Teresa joined Tabula Capital as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer in May 2024. Previously, Teresa was CEO & COO of Berry Street Capital where she established and managed the firm’s corporate operations. Prior to that she was a Senior Vice President & Director at Paulson & Co’s London office. She started her career in financial services at IMS Consulting (now part of ACA Compliance Group) in 2006 where, following successive promotions, she was ultimately a Client Relationship Director providing regulatory advice and monitoring the compliance programmes of several prominent hedge fund and private equity managers. As a qualified Barrister with relevant regulatory qualifications, alongside her practical experience and strategic vision, Teresa brings a unique perspective and skill set to the firm. Teresa has an LLB Law & Spanish degree from Westminster University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.

Benoît de Cagny
Prior to joining Tabula Capital, Benoit was a Structured Credit Trader at Chenavari Investment Managers for the long/short credit strategy where he focused on the trading and risk management of macro and correlation risk. Previously, he was an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Chenavari focused on multiple liquids desks (financials, relative value, corporates, macro). He started his career with various placements at Credit Agricole and Natixis across FX structuring and M&A. Benoit holds an Engineering Degree from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and an MSc Risk Management & Financial Engineering from Imperial College Business School.

Andrew Granger
Prior to joining Tabula Capital, Andrew worked at J.P. Morgan since 2005 in a number of different roles, initially as part of the award-winning European Credit Derivatives Research team. He was a co-author of the J.P. Morgan Credit Derivatives Handbook, one of the most widely recognised introductions to the asset class. In 2007, Andrew moved to the Credit Derivatives Technology team, with responsibility for numerous projects and initiatives across analytics and data while retaining a specific focus on credit default swap indices, options and tranches. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Andrew worked as a software developer in several other fields, including cryptography. Andrew graduated from Wadham College, Oxford University with a First in Mathematical Sciences. He also has post-graduate degrees in English Literature and Music Technology.

Stefan Garcia
Stefan Garcia is Chief Commercial Officer at Tabula where he focuses on pan-European client coverage, strategic business development, and sustainability-related initiatives across product development and marketing. Previously, Stefan was Head of Global Distribution at City Financial, a diversified asset manager. Prior to that, Stefan was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Distribution for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Source, which he joined when it was founded in 2009, helping to build it into one of the largest ETF businesses in Europe. Before this, Stefan was a senior executive and one of the first employees at ETF Securities Limited in London. Stefan holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brown University.
